Vishal started life in the NHS as a graduate intern fresh out of university. He has been with NHS England for over 8 years and has worked in several roles during that time. He is currently working for the Midlands Cardiovascular Disease and Respiratory Clinical Network and his role is to lead assurance and support transformation of the diabetes programme across 11 ICSs in the Midlands region to ensure improvement in service delivery, health outcomes, inequalities and patient experience. He has experience of working on cardiovascular, mental health, dementia, learning disability, QIPP and patient safety programmes. Prior to the NHS, he briefly worked in the private sector for organisations including Leicestershire County Cricket Club and 99 Shopper Group.
