Dr. Barber has worked as an Associate Professor and Honorary Consultant Endocrinologist at the University of Warwick and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire since 2010. With a research background in genetic and metabolic features of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome from his work as a Clinical Research Fellow at the OCDEM, Dr. Barber was awarded the ‘Society for Endocrinology Clinical Prize Lecture’ and ‘University of Oxford Medical Sciences Divisional Research Prize’ in 2009. Dr. Barber has published >120 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals and speaks regularly at national and international scientific meetings. As the scientific lead for the Human Metabolism Research Unit, his current research interests include novel strategies to prevent and manage Obesity and Diabetes Mellitus within the populace.
