Tamsin Fletcher-Salt
Lead Diabetes Specialist Nurse,
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust
Tamsin has worked in the NHS since 2009 and has been a DSN since 2014 and works at the Royal Stoke University Hospital part of the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. Prior to becoming a DSN, Tamsin worked as a critical care nurse for 5 years within the same Trust.
Tamsin’s current role involves being team leader for the inpatient DSN team the role encompasses both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities and is very clinical in nature. She is also a non-medical prescriber. Tamsin is also the clinical lead for diabetes inpatients NHSE (Midlands Network)
Tamsin has a special interest in Type 1 diabetes, diabetes technology, and renal and Tamsin has been instrumental in setting up online support groups using social media for people living with diabetes in the local area.
Tamsin is also a director for the DSN Forum UK Ltd
