Stephen Taylor - Thermidas

Stephen Taylor

Director UK and Ireland, Thermidas
Stephen has held senior roles at multinational companies including Philips, Lexmark, and Jabil. At Jabil, he developed the company’s first European medical strategy, securing its first major customer. He also directed the creation of a camera module business, generating significant global revenues in the Medical, Industrial, and Smartphone sectors. Stephen then served as interim CEO for a 3D camera start-up, building relationships within the UK Venture Capital and Angel Investor communities. As founding CEO of Technology Scotland, he led an industry association focused on emerging technologies such as photonics, quantum, and sensing. He also launched a Mobility as a Service group, securing £3 million in government funding. Currently, Stephen leads Thermidas in the UK and Ireland, specialising in innovative diagnostic tools using thermal imaging to detect pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, vascular diseases, and other conditions like DVTs and chronic pain. He has cultivated strong relationships with global Key Opinion Leaders in the diabetic, wound care, and vascular fields, as well as the care home sector. Stephen holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and has completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School.
