Sharon is a Research Fellow at Canterbury Christ Church University in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care, and has worked on a variety of research projects in the areas of public health, health promotion, and arts and health, using mixed methodologies, with a particular focus on qualitative methods and process evaluation. Current and previous research topic areas include: psychoeducational programmes for people with type 2 diabetes, training of healthcare professionals in assistive technology, late testing and diagnosis of HIV, singing for mental health and wellbeing, reminiscence materials within care settings, domestic abuse prevention for children and adolescents, and working with hard to reach communities including gypsy travelers and young carers.
