	Sarah Alicea RD leads a Type 1 Diabetes and Eating Disorders (T1DE) service in London and supports ICBs to develop specialised pathways for people with diabetes and eating disorders. She is undertaking a PhD at the University of Warwick, focused on developing and validating a consultation-based screening tool for disordered eating in diabetes.  Sarah is Chair of the British Dietetic Association’s (BDA) Diabetes Specialist Group and contributes to national initiatives and service development through her involvement in the NICE Quality Standards, the T1DE Parliamentary Inquiry, and by establishing professional supervision spaces for clinicians working in diabetes and eating disorders.  She also chairs the Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating Education Group for the Children and Young People's Diabetes Network (CYPDN), collaborating with colleagues to develop the DigiBete T1DE e-learning platform, and establish the national T1DE conference at the University of Warwick (UKPCEDD).  Sarah is part of the Diabetes UK professional conference organising committee (DUKPCOC) and is a graduate of their Clinical Champions leadership programme. Her work has also been featured on ITV and Coronation Street.
