Rachel Berrington is a ANP in diabetes working within the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, where she has led the multidisciplinary foot clinic for the past fifteen years and is a key member of the multidisciplinary diabetes foot team
Rachel is a dedicated and passionate member of the team, striving to improve better care and outcomes for inpatients and outpatients with active diabetic foot disease. She has lead on the implementation of casting Nationally for diabetic foot and she was the nurse representative on the NICE Guidance group Diabetic foot problems: prevention and management. She blends her acute role with education of HCP’s, across the patient pathway, incorporating MDT, NHS and commercial partnership to benefit people living with diabetes and their carer.
