Maddie works on the grant management and public involvement at JDRF UK. Having studied Molecular Biology at university, she has a keen interest in disease and immunology. Maddie describes working for JDRF UK as a full circle moment, as her brother who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 8 years old, used to attend events with her mum when he was newly diagnosed. She hopes that her work at JDRF UK can help improve the lives of those living with type 1, including her brother, and one day find a cure.
