June works as a Nurse Consultant in Diabetes with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, The Leicester Diabetes Centre and is CoChair for Trend Diabetes. She is an Honorary Associate Professor for the University of Leicester where she leads and supports students undertaking various MSc modules. In her clinical role, she cares for people with diabetes and advanced kidney disease and also those with complex diabetes care needs. June works on various multidisciplinary committees such as the Joint British Diabetes Societies in the development of national guidelines. She is an Associate Editor for Practical Diabetes and writes and peer reviews for other diabetes journals including Diabetic Medicine. Her most recent work has focused on NHS England guidance on Insulin safety and the support of training for those who handle prescribe or administer insulin.
