Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust
Jane Baillie qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1994 and completed her BSc in 1995. She has been working as an Adult Diabetes Nurse Specialist since 2003 within a large team of DSN’s at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Jane works primarily with patients with Type 1 Diabetes and although covering all aspects of diabetes care, including in-patient management, pump therapy, research and DAFNE, she has a special interest in transition and young adult diabetes management working closely with her colleagues in the paediatric service. This has led to her being a helper on regional young people diabetes camps. Jane has presented at local, national and international conferences, recently speaking about transition at the first international diabetes education symposium in Botswana. Jane is a Non-Medical Prescriber and in addition to her nursing duties, she is a registered SAGE & THYME trainer.
