Co-Founders Henry Aspden and Andrew Kerr first launched what began as Team Type One Style in December 2020. Initially envisioned as a UK-based elite cycling team, the project quickly grew into a wider community for people living with Type 1 diabetes across all sports and backgrounds. Their mission — to “Shift the Perception of Type One Diabetes” — continues today through awareness, empowerment, and education. The team has now evolved into Enhance-d Club UK, aligning with the Swiss-based health-tech company Enhance-d, where Henry is also part of the team. Enhance-d is a platform that integrates data from continuous glucose monitors, insulin, carbohydrate tracking, wearables, and activity apps. By layering exercise, nutrition, and glucose data, it delivers unique insights that help people with Type 1 diabetes manage blood glucose more effectively around sport, daily activity, and recovery. Together, Enhance-d and Enhance-d Club UK are building a global movement where performance, wellbeing, and diabetes management go hand in hand. Their shared philosophy is simple but powerful: WE THRIVE. WITH DIABETES.
