Ellen Bennett is a Registered Dietitian, researcher, and leading voice in the field of Ultra-Processed Food Addiction (UPFA). She is the Operations Manager for Liberate, delivered in partnership with the Public Health Collaboration (PHC), where she leads educational programmes for individuals and clinicians navigating food addiction.
Currently completing her PhD at Coventry University, Ellen’s research focuses on addiction-informed interventions for UPFA, including feasibility studies, and challenging prevailing clinical narratives.
With 16 years in food addiction recovery, the maintenance of an 11-stone weight loss for 14 years, and her own lived experience of recovery, Ellen blends science, compassion, and humour to bring this topic to life. She speaks regularly at conferences, podcasts, and universities, championing a more honest and hopeful conversation about food addiction and recovery.
