Dr Sufyan Hussain

Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London
Dr Sufyan Hussain graduated in medicine from the University of Cambridge and undertook his post-graduate clinical training in London teaching hospitals. He was a visiting scholar at Joslin Diabetes Centre, Harvard Medical School in islet cell transplantation and completed his PhD
with Sir Professor Stephen Bloom at Imperial College London identifying a key role for the brain in the control
of glucose. He was appointed as a Darzi fellow in Clinical Leadership where he worked on several regional and
national projects related to integrated care and digital health. As an honorary clinical lecturer at Imperial College
London, Dr Hussain maintained research and teaching interests in diabetes.
As a diabetes consultant in a world-renowned
teaching hospital, he maintains a diverse clinical practice in diabetes and endocrinology, with specialist clinical and
research interests in the clinical application of diabetes technologies and type 1 diabetes.
