Dr Rahim Kanji is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, with an interest in the utility of biomarkers for thrombosis and fibrinolysis in the risk stratification of patients with cardiovascular disease, and has published his work in many peer-reviewed journals. He also has an interest in the use of digital technologies to provide innovative strategies to manage patients with cardiac disease, and at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust, he is the lead for the virtual chest pain ward. Currently, he is working on pathways to facilitate optimisation of patients with established cardiovascular disease, as well as prevention in the community.
