Denise Orwin

Education and research facilitator, Leicester diabetes Centre University hospitals of Leicester
Denise has served the NHS for 30 years, with the past decade dedicated specifically to diabetes self-management education. She is a member of the IMPACT Team (Innovative Management, Prevention and Care for Long Term Conditions) at the Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC), a collaboration between University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) NHS Trust and the University of Leicester (UoL). The IMPACT team is a multidisciplinary group that trains, develops, evaluates, and supports innovative interventions within research and national programme's for the NHS. Denise's responsibilities include refining the SHIFT programme and training various organisational teams to deliver SHIFT to their staff.
