Anne Kilvert worked for many years in Northampton, spending two years there as a junior doctor and subsequently returning as a consultant diabetologist in 1995. She served for 9 years as a committee member for ABCD and contributed to a number of ABCD and JBDS guidelines. She moved to the recently commissioned community team in 2013 and retired from clinical work last year. She continues to organise and facilitate courses designed to help health care professionals develop skills to empower people with diabetes and provide person-centred care, an approach she is passionate about advocating.
