Alex was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes aged 18 months, and has used his experience to fulfill roles as an international patient advocate and NHS employee. He currently works as a commissioner as Deputy-Head of the NHS North West London ICB diabetes programme, where his role is to help people and professionals in the community implement a unified integrated diabetes care model.
