Professor, Cardiff University
Adrian Porch works in Cardiff University’s Centre for High-Frequency Engineering, which he led from 2010-2022. He has 36 years of research experience studying the fundamental properties, electromagnetic modeling, and applications of materials at high frequencies. Following his MA and Ph.D. degrees in Physics at Cambridge University, he was an academic at Birmingham University from 1990-2000, at Cardiff University since 2000, where he has been a professor since 2007. He champions interdisciplinary research and in recent years his research has expanded into the area of high-frequency medical devices, for example, the non-invasive blood glucose sensor technology presented here.
