Prof Helen Murphy

Helen Murphy is a Professor of Womens Health at Kings College London and Professor of Medicine (Diabetes and Antenatal Care) at the University of East Anglia. She is also a practicing clinician at Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust since 2006 and at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust since 2015.

She runs a diabetes pregnancy research programme which aims to improve the glucose control and infant health outcomes of pregnant women with diabetes. Her research interests include improving access to prepregnancy care, developing novel continuous glucose monitoring and artificial pancreas technologies and the role of maternal dietary intake during pregnancy. Her research programme is funded by Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Diabetes UK, Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF), the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Health Technology Assessment Efficacy Mechanism and Evaluation (HTA EME).
