Lynsey Choules

Person with Diabetes

I was diagnosed with Type 1 in 1999 (aged 6) but I have not always treated my diabetes with the respect it deserves. Within the last two years I have become a member of the Diabetes UK Young Adults Panel and gave a talk at the “Improving Diabetes Transition Conference” (NPDA/NDA audit) as well as the NPDA National Conference. I have also been involved in making a short documentary about the issue of diabulimia and the emotional aspects of living with Type 1 diabetes.
