Dr Chirag Bakhai is a GP and the Vice-Chair of Luton CCG, leading on prevention and long-term conditions. He is focused on improving integrated working and enhancing the sustainability of health and care services. He is also committed to reducing unwarranted variation and empowering people to improve their own wellbeing.
Chirag leads the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme over the BLMK ICS and is the GP Lead for the EoE Diabetes Clinical Network. He is also the Primary Care Advisor to the NHS Diabetes Programme, where he uses his background in General Practice and Clinical Commissioning to steer national diabetes strategy.
