Dr Amrit Lamba is a four-session General Practitioner Partner in Barnet CCG, London. He qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2005 and completed a Masters in Diabetes at Leicester University in 2017.
During his speciality training, Amrit was awarded a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. Amrit has a specialist interest in diabetes and medical education, with experience of speaking and chairing regional and national meetings.
Locally, Amrit is a Clinical Lead for the Barnet Federated GPs Diabetes Network, and an operational board member for the Barnet Community Diabetes Service. In 2017, Amrit founded the Barnet Diabetes Forum, which hosts regular educational events and networking opportunities for primary care clinicians with an interest in Diabetes. In 2018, Amrit became a Clinical lead for the Barnet Federated GPs Research Network, supporting local primary care participation in national research projects. His current area of interest involves the integration of clinical software systems and web-based platforms to facilitate best practice management in Type 2 Diabetes.
