“Carole qualified as a Registered nurse and then as a Children’s Nurse at Great Ormond Street hospital. She then moved to Leeds to take up a Nurse Specialist post, later combining this with a clinical educator and lecturer post.

Carole then went on to complete a First Class BA Hons degree in 1997 closely followed by an MSc award in Health Professional Education at the University of Huddersfield in 2005. Carole is on the editorial board for Journal of Diabetes Nursing, peer reviews articles for several journals and has presented at national conferences. She is currently honing her research skills at the University of Leeds and is also an Independent Prescriber.

Carole strives to share best practice in a range of key areas to add value to nursing care and wherever possible facilitates the contribution of colleagues to ensure quality improvement initiatives optimising health outcomes for people with diabetes.”
