Bridget is Programme Manager for User Involvement in the NHS Diabetes Programme, a joint initiative between NHS England, Public Health England and Diabetes UK. Her role is to ensure that the voices of people living with Diabetes, as well as those at risk of Type 2 are heard, and used to help to shape the NHS Diabetes Programme for the future.

She has worked for 17 years in healthcare research, previously working as Director of Health Experiences for Picker, a not-for-profit healthcare research organisation dedicated to making patients’ views count in healthcare, where she focussed in particular gaining feedback from lesser heard groups about their healthcare experiences.

She has a passion for user involvement and ensuring that patients and service users are involved in their healthcare in a meaningful way, working in partnership with healthcare professionals to bring about real change.
