Anne Moore is the Group Nurse Director for Safer Care at Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. Anne has been Group Nurse Director for Specialist Services for 6 years as well as leading corporately on the Trust Safer Care and Nursing Strategy, Safeguarding, Physical Health and Wellbeing and Values Based Recruitment and also Multi Professional Education and Training.

Prior to this she was Director of Nursing and Quality for Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar and Cleveland Primary Care Trusts from 2009-2011 and Director of Nursing and Operations for Community Integrated Health Care Services on Teesside 2004-2009

Anne’s clinical background is in general acute and community nursing, child and maternal health, public health, prison, mental health and learning disability care delivery. She has worked extensively over her 38 year career in NHS provider and commissioning organisations and has many years’ experience of successful multi-agency partnership working both strategically and operationally. Anne has worked at the Department of Health on the development of Nurse Led Personal Medical Services in Primary care and developing Non-Medical Prescribing, and most recently with the previous National Clinical Director for Mental Health on initiatives to improve physical health outcomes and reduce the premature death of patients with a Mental Health and Learning Disability.
