Panel: Cities Changing Diabetes – Leicester

Explore how a whole systematic approach to prevention and management of diabetes can be important at a city level. In this session we will give an overview of the Cities Changing Diabetes initiative which has been implemented in the first UK city.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the impact of the challenge of diabetes in an urban area
  • Consider how the urban environment can be harnessed in the prevention and management of T2DM
  • Consider examples of community involvement in prevention and management of DM
