Hypoglycaemia in adults in the community – recognition, management & prevention

This presentation will explore the recognition, treatment and prevention of hypoglycaemia as seen in the community setting as a practical and interactive session. It will provide signposting to practical information for people with diabetes, their families and carers as well as healthcare professionals to support education relating to hypoglycaemia.

Learning outcomes:

  • List the signs and symptoms of hypoglycaemia
  • Demonstrate the correct treatment required to treat a hypoglycaemic event
  • Discuss ways of preventing hypoglycaemia
