Diabetes prevention in high-risk ethnic groups

The talk will focus on the risk of type 2 diabetes in minority ethnic groups, particularly South Asians, and how this can be addressed through lifestyle interventions. In particular, how lifestyle can be optimised for ethnic minorities.

  • Difference in risk factors between ethnic groups, with a focus on South Asians
  • Differences in lifestyle behaviours between ethnic groups, with a focus on South Asians
  • How lifestyle interventions can be optimised to lower diabetes risk in high risk ethnic communities
