World-class diabetes conference opens registration

World-class diabetes conference opens registration

The UK’s must attend event for everyone involved in the treatment and management of diabetes is now open for registration, promising delegates the “perfect blend” of the latest evidence and education.

The Diabetes Professional Care (DPC) annual two-day conference has been designed by diabetes healthcare professionals working in primary and secondary care to cover the current hot topics in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes throughout the UK.

The major event is free to attend for professionals from across the diabetes healthcare community, is CPD accredited and gives visitors the opportunity to speak with the people shaping the future of diabetes care.

Content Lead for Diabetes Professional Care Agnes Jacobs said: “This year’s conference will bring together world-class speakers, including some of the top practitioners from the diabetes arena, who will be sharing their real-world learning and expertise.

“Our programme provides the perfect blend of evidence and education, covering a broad range of clinical skills training for practitioners from all specialisms and of all levels of experience.

“Attendees will discover the latest information on treatment and care of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, the role of digital technology, service innovations and tackling health inequalities.

“On top of all this, visitors will also get the chance to network with thousands of healthcare professionals involved in diabetes and meet with exhibitors showcasing the latest diabetes products and services.”

Visitors to previous DPC conferences included Registered General Nurse Racquel John, of North Middlesex Hospital, who said: “I learned a lot from the stands and in the sessions.

“It’s important because you’re learning things that you don’t learn on the job as you simply don’t have time.”

Fellow visitor, Dr Domodhera Norosimhariah, Consultant Physician at East Suffolk NHS Hospitals, added: “I attended to revise my knowledge on diabetes healthcare to help with my general medical care. I was able to revise everything about diabetes, with a focus on lifestyle medicine and reinforcing a healthy lifestyle.”

The DPC Conference will take place at Olympia London on November 16 and 17.
