NEW: DPC Toolkits launched to enhance takeaway learning for HCPs
Leading practitioners, solutions providers and policy makers from across the diabetes healthcare spectrum will share their knowledge and expertise with delegates when the Diabetes Professional Care 2018 conference returns to London on 14 and 15 November.
Once again, the emphasis will be on real-world experiences and hands-on skills development, to ensure visitors take away learning they can put to practical use in the care of their patients with diabetes.
This year, we are introducing DPC Toolkits, to provide ongoing support for healthcare professionals attending DCP2018.
“We are delighted to be launching our new DPC Toolkits at DPC2018,” says Toby Baker, Event Director, DPC. “Comprising a handy and robust A5 folder, and cards that delegates can take away from key sessions they attend, the toolkits will provide HCPs with invaluable key ‘takeaway’ learning points and reference material, which they can continue to use as guidance after the show and share with their wider team.’
Sessions where visitors will be able to collect DPC Toolkit cards include ‘Diabetes management pearls: life hacks to help you help people with diabetes’. In this special, hour-long session, Dr Kevin Fernando, GP & Partner, North Berwick Health Centre, will impart diabetes management ‘pearls’ he has picked up over the years, to help look after people with diabetes in a holistic, clinically effective and time-efficient way. These will comprise Consulting Pearls, Prevention Pearls, Prescribing Pearls, Pre-conception and Pregnancy Pearls, and Mental Wellbeing Pearls.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to pick up Toolkit cards in sessions covering mental health and wellbeing, insulin administration, diabetic kidney diseases, and foot and wound care.
Stay tuned for a full list of sessions where visitors will be able to pick up these Toolkit cards.
DPC2018 will take place on 14 and 15 November at Olympia, London. Attendance is free to all healthcare professionals and covers entry to all areas of the show, including the conference, workshops, special features, live debate, exhibition and Diabetes Village. Register here for your free place.
