DPC2018 receives positive feedback from a breadth of visitors

Visitor Survey_DSF4057

A massive 98% of visitors responding to DPC2018’s post-show Visitors Survey told us they would visit DPC again, while 96% said they view DPC as a place to learn about new and existing innovations and products.

Other stand-out results included: 95% of visitors said they took away learning and information they could share with their team; 95% told us they’d recommend DPC to a colleague; 92% took away learning and/or skills they could use straight away in caring for people with diabetes; 88% said the conference programme was excellent or very good; and 84% asked us to pre-register them straight away for DPC2019.

DPC surveyed 11% of the total visitor audience to DPC2018, with responses received from a range of different healthcare professionals (HCPs).

DPC2018’s audience was split equally between primary and secondary care professionals, with specialist and non-specialist HCPs coming together to learn, share best practice and experiences, and take away practical skills to help improve care for people with diabetes.

The healthcare industry was represented at all levels, from commissioning services and products, through specialist diabetes teams, to GPs and nurses in primary care.

Visitors’ roles included: commissioning board members and long-term condition diabetes CCG leads; diabetes specialist consultants, diabetologists and endocrinologists; diabetes specialist nurses; GPs and other consultants/doctors; practice, community and ward nurses; podiatrists, chiropodists, FHP and wound care specialists; nutritionists and dieticians; pharmacists; midwives; ophthalmologists and retinal screeners; and mental health HCPs and psychologists.

“We are delighted that DPC attracted such diverse support from across the healthcare industry since we firmly believe that integrated, joined up care is key to the prevention, treatment and management of diabetes,” said Toby Baker, Event Director, DPC.

“Our visitors’ feedback is also instrumental to DPC’s success and ensuring we continue to provide an event that is relevant, inclusive and focused. So we’re grateful to everyone who responded to our Visitors’ Survey, as well as those of you who share your views and suggestions with us via social media and email throughout the year. Please keep them coming!”
