Cardiovascular remodelling and altered blood flow in type 2 diabetes without known cardiovascular disease
- Understand risk factors for heart failure in the general population and in those with diabetes;
- Understand the common phenotypes of heart failure
- Be able to describe the common cardiac abnormalities seen in patients with T2D
- Appreciate that there are sex-specific differences in changes in myocardial blood flow in T2D and that risk factors are likely to vary between sexes.
- Understand the potential lifestyle and pharmacological treatments for prevention/treatment of cardiac remodelling in T2D.
