Beyond HbA1c: unlocking the power of AGEs in diabetes care

21 Oct 2025
Theatre C
Clinical

Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs) are harmful compounds that build up in tissue, causing stiffness, impaired organ function, and driving conditions such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Unlike traditional biomarkers, AGE levels offer powerful early insight — strongly predicting the risk of developing these conditions and their complications. With the non-invasive AGE Reader from Diagnoptics, clinicians can easily measure AGE levels in minutes, gaining a clearer picture of patient risk. This session will show how AGEs open the door to earlier intervention, better outcomes, longer health span — and reduced healthcare costs.

  • By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  • 1. Understand what Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs) are and why they matter in diabetes care.
  • 2. Explore the link between AGEs and chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • 3. Discover how AGEs can be measured quickly and non-invasively in clinical practice.
  • 4. Apply AGE insights to strengthen risk assessment and guide more effective patient interventions.
