- 1. Appreciation of the clinical neurophysiology supporting choice of small-fibre testing for detection of early diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
- 2. To recognise a critical change in thinking around the potential clinical benefits, for both patients and NHS burden, of early diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
- 3. To be able to apply, though today’s introduction, a novel and rapid technique for easy testing and identification of subtle nerve deficit in diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
