NICE diabetes guidance: past, present and future

In this session Professor Benger will briefly review the history of NICE over the past 26 years, and reflect on the foundations of its continuing success. He will then summarize current NICE guidance relevant to diabetes, focusing on the extensive update to the guideline on type 2 diabetes. Finally, Professor Benger will set out the future strategic direction for NICE and the ambition to produce relevant, timely, useable and impactful guidance that is increasingly integrated and improved to meet the needs of health and care practitioners.
