Keynote: The Diabetes MDT

HbA1c has always been the gold standard of measurement of glucose in diabetes care. This presentation shall look and address new measures to help improve care focusing on the variability in glucose and the impact that this can have on HbA1c and should Time in Range be a more meaningful measure to the care to care of the person with diabetes and help in reducing the long term complications of diabetes.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand glucose variability
- Impact of glucose variability on Time in Range
- Improving management of hypoglycaemia & Time in range can impact on long term complications
- Recognition that understanding glucose related risks in diabetes require more than just an estimate of mean glucose levels
