To provide an overview of the South Tyneside Diabetes One Stop Shop, which delivers all 9 of the NICE recommended healthcare processes for patients with diabetes in a single annual appointment. The service was jointly developed between South Tyneside CCG (now NENC ICB), South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS FT and NHS England with the aim of improving uptake of the annual diabetic review, reducing variation across the system and freeing up GP time in practice to afford time to managing those more complex patients.
