GSK Lunch & Learn: The Challenges of Anaemia in Diabetic Kidney Disease – Specialist Care and Primary Care Perspective
Patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and anemia have poorer outcomes and an impaired quality of life. Early identification and treatment of anemia are important therapeutic strategies to improve outcomes in patients with DKD.
This session provides the reason for timely treatment of anaemia in DKD and consequences of no or delayed treatment. We also review the role of a practice nurse, general practitioner, and specialists in optimal treatment for improved patient care.
