Big Guideline Debate

This session aims to discuss current national and international guidelines on the management of hyperglycaemia in Type 2 Diabetes in adults. 

It will highlight the differences in recommendations of the updated NICE Guideline NG28 and the updated ADA/EASD Consensus report with a focus on individualised holistic person-centred approach and cost-effectiveness. The target audience is the entire multidisciplinary team involved in providing diabetes care.

The debate will highlight key implications to clinical care beyond glycaemic management, including current national and international recommendations on how to address cardiorenal and weight-related comorbidities. 

A ‘do not miss’ session for anyone interested in implementing current guidelines to daily practice!

 

  • To review national and international guidelines on the management of Type 2 Diabetes in adults.
