The updated NICE guidance suggests that older adults requiring assistance with their self-administration and monitoring of insulin should have access to Continuous Glucose Monitoring, however, the needs of the older adult are different from younger patients with type 1 diabetes. 
We will discuss the potential impact that this can have, the opportunities that it offers and the pitfalls of inappropriate usage.
