Dubbed “an educational lifeline” and “packed with opinions and learning practices” the DPC Summer Forum is making a comeback. The CPD-accredited, free-to-access digital series was launched in July and comprised interactive panel discussions and debates with top diabetes experts.

“If you don’t listen to everything that I say, just remember these three simple messages. It is common, it is going to get more common and it’s very easy to recognise, ” said Dr. Andrew Frankel. The consultant renal physician was talking at the beginning of the first of six online sessions as part of the DPC Summer Forum Part 2 about kidney disease, relating to diabetes.

“Audience engagement and the lively debates were real highlights and made chairing the DPC Summer Forum sessions so enjoyable,” said Dr David Strain.
The Clinical Senior Lecturer of the Diabetes and Vascular Research Centre, who chaired five of the six online webinars, said another high point was being part of the DAPA-HF session, which featured the study’s lead author Professor John McMurray.
